SMA conference schedule posted

The full schedule for the Society for Medical Anthropology’s conference has been posted — and it looks like a really exciting set of panels and events. As we’ve mentioned before, the conference–“Medical Anthropology at the Intersections: Celebrating 50 years of Interdisciplinarity“–is taking place at Yale form September 24 to the 27th. The details are all available at the conference website here. There are far too many interesting-looking panels to summarize here, so please take a look at the schedule. The only problem is that this schedule has only been made available as an Excel file and is somewhat confusing at first glance. You have to use the “find” function on Excel in order to search for particular names or terms.

A significant part of the conference is the phenomenal set of plenary speakers (listed here, with their topics) who will apparently give overviews of medical anthropology’s engagements with numerous topics and issues, including global public health, mental health, feminism and technoscience, bioethics, genetics/genomics, and STS. Not to be missed!
