CALL FOR RESEARCH PROPOSALS

­­­­Global Development Network
The Global Development Network invites researchers from developing and transition countries to submit proposals for the 2012 Global Research Competition. The themes in 2012—which is the pilot year of this program – include Education & Gender, Food Security and Political Economic & Social Transformations. The research competition is inter-regional and multi-disciplinary. Proposals can be submitted individually, or in teams. An online platform will help individuals and incomplete teams to find collaborators. Each winning team will be paired with world-class mentors. Grants are up to US$ 32,000 for projects of up to 18 months. The submission deadline is 21 May 2012.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Religion AIDS and Biographies
I would like to draw your attention to the attached call for papers for the conference on ‘ Religion, AIDS and Biographies’  which the International Research Network on Religion and AIDS in Africa  is co-hosting with the University of Groningen in Groningen, The Netherlands, December 2012. The deadline for the submission of paper-proposals will be postponed to June, so there is ample time to respond and/or to forward the CFP to others interested. August 5th-August 10th, 2013 Manchester, United Kingdom
The 17th World Congress of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences has the overall theme “Evolving Humanity, Emerging Worlds”. The Call for Papers will close on July 13, 2012. The call for papers deadline applies to both papers proposed as additions to an existing panel and also to papers proposed to the holding panel. These deadlines are final and no further proposals will be accepted after these dates.

  1. Please invite me in your succeeding invitations. We have a number of case stories on women in our Community Driven Development Project with specific focus on women leadership and engagement in paid sub-project construction work work. We are also developing research study on over-all impact of the project affirmative action towards the goal of empowerment.
