Thomson Chakramakkil
Thomson Chakramakkil is a PhD candidate in the ‘Technology in Society’ research cluster of the department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Delhi. He has held visiting fellowships at The Centre for Policy Futures (CPF), University of Queensland, and the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) Delhi. Prior to pursuing his research interests, Thomson worked as a technical writer for Oracle, where he documented the management software applications manufactured by the company.
Thomson's work attempts to understand the design and use of digital management technologies in the Indian knowledge workplace. He specifically focuses on how software systems (including enterprise applications & AI-based chatbots) enable organisations to quantify workers and transform them into self-managing human capital.
