Luiz Alves Araújo Neto
Luiz Alves Araújo Neto is a historian with a Ph.D. in History of Science and Health. He is based on the Department of History of Science and Health at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) in Brazil working in the fields of history of medicine and public health, science and technology studies, and collective health. His research topics are cancer, epidemiology, health inequalities, rare diseases, and Long Covid. He participates in 'The Political Stakes of Cancer Network' and has published about the history of cancer in Brazil. His forthcoming book is 'História da prevenção do câncer no Brasil: conceitos, práticas e instituições' (History of cancer prevention in Brazil: concepts, practices and institutions).
